This ‘novena’ of prayers traditionally commences November 30, the feast (East & West) of St. Andrew the Apostle, and concludes on Christmas Eve.

It may be said for one’s particular intentions.

The custom is to recite devoutly the following prayer 15 times each day until December 24.

Hail and Blessed be the hour and moment
At which the Son of God was born
Of the most pure Virgin Mary,
At midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.

In that hour, vouchsafe, oh my God,
To hear my prayer and grant my desires
Through the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ and of
His most Blessed Mother. Amen.
