Now that five centuries have passed so quickly, let us learn (even if belatedly) from that most excellent magisterium of Rome not merely why the “revisionists” of history-telling are wrong, but why really we should honor the saintly Christ Bearer [the meaning of “Christopher” in Greek].

For above all, he brought the civilizing reign of Christ the Light to nations in darkness.

It is up to us, Americans, to beg God for the grace to keep the same Flame burning even more brightly amidst the world’s darkness that would return to overshadow it.
