No. And, no.

Italy is currently not requiring either the so-called vaccine as a condition to enter the country on pilgrimage in October, or to wear a mask in public.

That’s one good reason to purchase the travel insurance through Canterbury Pilgrimages, our organizer. In case your travels are interrupted or cancelled, their insurance offers wide & generous refunds to the pilgrim who purchases the insurance through Canterbury. Terms apply. Will that change? We don’t know. Every pilgrim can monitor the situation.

On top of that insurance, the organizer-in-chief at Canterbury has assured us that, in the unlikely event our pilgrimage is postponed due to travel restrictions, any payments made toward your trip will be honored on postponed dates in 2022.
