It seems the Cardinal agrees.

There are such things as intrinsic evils. Directly killing the innocent — like the pre-born, the elderly, the infirm; or suicide; also, blasphemy, sodomy, and the like.

The Vatican Press Office tells yesterday that Pope Francis has sent a letter to Cardinal Cupich of Chicago, and that he is praying for nonviolence.
