1. A letter to then-Cardinal Ratzinger in April 2002 proposing concrete steps toward a resolution to the crisis of the Catholic Church in North America.

2. Scores and more letters dated 8 December 2006 to Darío Cardinal Castrillón Hoyos, with a reply dated 8 January 2007 — appealing to His Holiness to remove once for all the conditions, all of them manufactured, which impede a normalized relationship of those Catholics commonly called ‘traditional’ with him.

3. Another letter, this one dated 13 May 2003, to Cardinal Castrillón — begging the Holy Father, Pope John Paul II to permit more generous expression of their liturgical and other “legitimate aspirations”.

The correspondences were ‘declassified’ on 31 December 2013.
